BAR Transportation

Driver Spotlight

We here in the office at BAR are the voice of our company. We go out and secure the customers and any funding that might be needed. We make the promises with the help of our drivers. Then the face of the company goes to work.

Our drivers do more for us than any amount of paid advertising that we could possibly pay for. These guys show up at our customers and no matter their issues at home or with the company, they show up with a smile and a good morning or good afternoon. "My name is ______ with BAR Transportation. How can we make your day brighter and easier. Just tell me and lets go to work."

Ron Miller

🚛 Truck 2029
If you have seen a sharp-looking 2002 Kenworth W900L hauling down the highway, chances are it was Ron Miller behind the wheel.

Ron has been part of BAR Transportation for 13 years. When he first joined us, he did not have a ton of oversize experience but what he had was grit, determination, and a safety first mindset. Over the years he has become our lead driver and one of the best in the business.

  • Hauled the SPX Cooling Technologies Marley Road Show across the U.S. for 6 months straight, making stops nationwide across 36 states and 29,000 miles
  • Delivered numerous military loads with pride and precision
  • Tackled some of the toughest oversize freight on the road today
  • His Kenworth W900L is being featured in Apex Capital's yearly calendar

Beyond the miles and loads, Ron's true pride is his family. He and his wife are blessed with two daughters, a son, and several wonderful grandchildren. His strong family values are a big part of what makes him one in a million steady, dependable, and grounded.

Ron sets the standard for what it means to be a professional driver at BAR Transportation, and we are proud to have him leading the way.

Ron has been with us since almost the beginning and honestly we could not run without him. He keeps the crew sharp, on schedule, and JR honest. When there is a complex multi-truck project, Ron is running point.

Ducky Thomason
Charles "Ducky" Thomason
Driver Truck 2023
20+ years driving · 5 years with BAR
🚛 Truck 2023
If you have seen a blue Kenworth T680 with a driver in a Hawaiian shirt and a grin, there is a good chance it was Ducky Thomason behind the wheel.

Ducky is one of the newer members of the BAR Transportation family, but you would never know it from the way he carries himself. From day one he fit like he had been here for years. He asks the hard questions when they need to be asked, and he never assumes anything about a load. If something does not look right, he speaks up, fixes it, and makes sure that freight is safe for the customer and for everyone else on the road.

Customers notice his attention to detail. Whether it is a straightforward move or a tricky specialized haul, Ducky takes the time to walk the load, check the securement, and confirm the details before he rolls. He gives shippers his full attention and follows through on what he says he will do. No shortcuts, no excuses.

Off the road, Ducky is a husband and a proud father to a fine young man. His wife keeps him on the straight and narrow, and he will be the first to tell you he is better for it. That same sense of responsibility shows up in the way he runs respectful, steady, and serious about getting home in one piece with the job done right.

Ducky is the comic relief of the group. No matter how long the run or how tough the project gets, he will have everyone laughing. Good driver, better human. We are proud to have him on the team and looking forward to many miles together.

Chad Davis
Chad Davis
Driver Truck 2026
30+ years driving · 6 years with BAR
🚛 Truck 2026
If you have seen a spotless blue Kenworth T680 rolling down the highway, there is a good chance it was Chad Davis behind the wheel.

From hauling OD cooling towers, machinery, and military freight to leading morning prayers and keeping the crew smiling on long runs Chad brings professionalism, faith, and heart to every mile. He is known for asking the right questions, coordinating with customers and fellow drivers, and building securements that go above and beyond to protect the freight and the public. It is the kind of attention to detail that reflects well on all of us at BAR.

Chad treats his truck like a rolling business card. Inside and out it is immaculate our mechanic James is forever complimenting how clean and squared-away that cab is. That same pride carries into his daily work: steady hands, smart decisions, and a calm spirit that lifts the whole team when the day runs long.

Off the clock, Chad runs a small side business buying, repairing, and reselling vehicles done with the same honesty and care he brings to trucking. He is a family man who stays closely connected to loved ones, and he leads a phone Bible study most mornings, offering encouragement to anyone who needs a little light before the day gets moving.

Chad is BAR's steady hand and moral compass. He shows up prepared, treats people right, and helps others succeed. Chad reminds us that professionalism and faith can ride side by side and we are proud to have him as part of the BAR family.
